The alert for the flood of the Po river, which has recently affected the Emilia-Romagna region, has seen CAE Ltd at the forefront in order to control and monitor the high-water mark of the river, using a network of hydro-meteorological stations located all along the river.

The entire network of telemetering stations  managed by CAE in the watershed of Emilia-Romagna consists of 260 stations, including 10 stations which are dedicated to monitor the water level of the PO, starting from Piacenza, going through Porretta, Borgoforte, Sermide, Pontelagoscuro and up to the areas of the Po delta.

Every ultrasonic and pressure hydrometers, as well as each electronic and telecommunication components, have worked properly, returning data in real time. In addition, the staff of CAE Ltd has given real-time assistance twenty-four hours a day, during all the emergency phase.
